The young adults ministry exists to make disciples that make disciples (…!).
One way we talk about life lived in authentic Christian community at St. James is to reference a cluster of grapes. We come together, each of us with years of stories. We are pressed together under the power of the Holy Spirit. Our strengths, weaknesses, joys, and sorrows come oozing out of us and something beautiful happens – God is making all things new and our community is a shining example of that. Welcome!
Every Sunday we join everyone in our worshipping community to exalt the triune God: Father, Son, and Spirit at our worship services at 8:45 and 11:00.
We gather bi-monthly to “stir up one another toward love and good works,” (Hebrews 10:24). Here we worship together, pray together, and explore what authentic Christian community looks like and how we can walk it out. We strive to do life together in authentic, transformative Christian community that heals us and advances the Kingdom. See “The Gathering” info below for details on when we meet.
On the weeks we’re not meeting together we intentionally find ways to love on our neighbors. Some of us host dinners for the families that live on each side of us, some of us help tutor kids at our apartment complex – the idea is to simply reach out to the people immediately around us that they may “taste and see that the Lord is good,” (Psalm 34:8). The possibilities are endless!
