Whoever you are, wherever you're from, you are welcome here.
We are a close-knit group of middle schoolers and high schoolers who are committed to creating a thriving community of young people that love and encourage one another and our neighbors, and love and follow Jesus!
We call our youth ministry "Ignite" because we believe the Lord has tasked us to fan the flame of what He is doing among the 6th – 12th grade students in our neighborhood, our region, and our world.
Each Sunday night during the school year, we gather for fun activities, snacks, Bible study, and prayer. Our students are open and honest about their struggles and the needs of those around them, and they encourage and strengthen one another each week through their conversations and prayer time. Many of our students also serve diligently throughout our church ministries.
Each month, we also offer opportunities for students to engage in special activities together, with an emphasis on building relationships and mutual encouragement, which we call Ig-NITE IN and Ig-NITE OUT. Some activities occur during our normal gathering time at the church, while others may be off-site, cost-based activities, either on Sundays or another day during the week. These are perfect times to come and check out our group and help us get to know one another!
We are excited to jump into 2024 and we're praying for opportunities to serve the families and youth in our community and the ability to provide a strong community for those in our neighborhood looking for a place to belong and be loved. We also desire that God continue to transform us and our youth to love God with all our hearts, souls, and minds, to love each other deeply and encourage one another in our spiritual walks, and to love our community well. Would you pray this along with us?
Through playing, laughing, learning, and praying together, we share our strengths and passions. Through fellowship, we bring each other closer to God.No matter where you are in life, we would be thrilled for you to join us.
We meet weekly Sunday evenings at 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the St. James gym.
